Congratulations to former Bay State Jaguar, and current Princeton Tiger, Blake Dietrick, on being named USBW National Player of the Week (for the final week of December 2013).

Dietrick is the first Princeton Tiger to ever collect the national accolade and adds her third honor to her budding resume in as many days. The point guard represented Princeton on the Cavalier Classic All-Tournament Team and earned her second Ivy League Player of the Week nod leading up to the national recognition.

As the Ivy League Player of the Week, Dietrick was nominated for the weekly award, which was chosen by a representative of the USBWA board of directors from a list of Division I conference players of the week.

Dietrick has had a seamless transition into Princeton’s top point guard this year, putting together impressive performances all seasson. A successful long range shooter throughout her career, Dietrick ranks No. 29 in three-point field goals per game and No. 32 in three-point field goal percentage nationally, holding the No. 2 spot in the Ivy League in both categories.

She is also tabbed in the top-five in the Ivy League in final points (No. 1), assists (No. 2), field goal percentage (No. 2), blocked shots per game (No. 5) and points per game (No. 5).
