The Bay State Jaguars are very excited to announce that Aaron Galletta, Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Lasell College, will be joining the Jaguars as coach of our 2011 10U Boys’ team. 

Aaron Galletta enters his seventh year at Lasell College, and his fifth season as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach. During his first four seasons, Coach Galletta guided the Lasers to a 66-47 record, as well as a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship and NCAA appearance in 2008, a GNAC regular season title in 2009, and two Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Regional Tournament appearances, in 2007 and 2009.  During his tenure, Galletta has also coached six All-Conference players, two Player of the Year honorees, two All-Region players, and one Jostens Trophy Finalist and D3Hoops All-American Honorable Mention.

Coach Galletta graduated from Union College as the all-time leading scorer in 2002, with 1,949 career points.  During his senior year, he led the Dutchmen to the second round of the NCAA tournament. He was named ECAC Upstate NY Player of the Year, NABC All-American Second Team, and was also a D3Hoops Third Team All-American selection. Coach Galletta was also one of ten national finalists for the Jostens Trophy, given to the top Division III male basketball players. Before coming to Lasell, Coach Galletta spent a year as an assistant at Mount St. Mary College, where he helped the team to a 23-8 record, and an ECAC berth.
